About GITRUN
Pakistan, a country of over 240 million people, lies at the heart of South Asia, a region facing pressing challenges such as poverty, climate change, inter- and intra-state conflicts, inequality, and limited access to quality education. These challenges directly align with the global priorities outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Global Institute on the United Nations (GITRUN) is envisioned as a national platform to bridge this gap. It aims to promote awareness, capacity-building, and engagement on UN principles and programs through educational initiatives, training programs, youth engagement, and research in the Pakistani context.
